Purbeck Film Festival is proud of its work encouraging new generations of young film makers to take their first steps on the ladder through the Purbeck Film Academy.

The Academy runs a series of courses for school children in film making. Children write, script, act and direct their own short film - guided by expert tuition.

The finished films are shown at a special presentation evening in the summer at the Mowlem with prizes for the best. They are also included in a programme devoted entirely to short films during the Purbeck Film Festival.
